About this app

This app is the command center for your Velop system and Linksys Smart WiFi routers. Use the Linksys app anywhere you have an internet connection to check connected devices, set up guest access, or keep your kids off the internet when they should be doing homework. The app offers two subscription services: Linksys Aware for whole-home motion detection and Linksys Shield, which provides network security and keeps kids safe on the web.

• Remote Access – All you need is the internet.
• Dashboard – Your WiFi's vital stats on one page.
• Guest Access – Give friends internet access, but keep personal data secure.
• Device Prioritization – Improve streaming and online gaming by giving WiFi priority to favored devices.
• Network Security - Be proactive against network threats and malicious sites with Linksys Shield.
• Parental Controls – Encourage kids' healthy internet behavior by pausing internet access.

Linksys Shield, for Velop tri-band users, protects your WiFi from external and internal threats and delivers customizable content blockers to keep kids safe on the web. Linksys Shield can be used on up to 14 devices connected to your Velop system.

• $4.99 per month

Linksys Aware is a premium subscription for Velop tri-band users. Linksys Aware provides whole-home motion detection for mesh WiFi systems. Set a sensitivity level matching your home and lifestyle, and get notifications when motion meets or exceeds that level. Expand your motion detection with compatible smart home devices.

• $2.99 per month

Prices are in US dollars. Your price may be converted to your local currency.

Your trial converts to a paid subscription unless you turn off auto-renew. Access to the trial will be available as specified even if the trial is canceled before it expires.

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each term and you will be charged through your Google Play Account. You may turn off subscription auto-renewal at any time through the Google Play Store. We cannot offer a refund for unsubscribing early.

App no longer allows you to manage external storage. Can only access it through the router. Since I'm at it.. You have no idea what devices are connecting to your network except for big name devices. At least put an incremental number so you can know what you're trying to block. It's bad, been using Linksys for probably 20 years (not exclusively). When this mesh network eventually stops working because of some update I'll be switching. It's apparent they have no desire to improve anything

A recent update seems to have broken the app. Now when you open the app, it tells you that the router has no Internet connection. But then if you run a router internet speed test in the app, it shows the connection is fine and running properly. But even after the test, the main summary page in the app still shows that there is allegedly no Internet connection. Using a Pixel 5a, Android 14, and EA8300 router. UPDATE: The March 18 app update has resolved the issue for me. Thanks Linksys!

App used to work OK but apparently after some updates it now reports that my network is Offline even though it's definitely online (since I'm able to post this review). Behaves same way on all my devices (two tablets and my cell phone - all running different Android versions) If I manage my router through its web page, everything reports correctly. App won't let me login with email. I must use router password. Yeah, I reset the router...

What's new

We added a way to see your network topology at a glance. Plus, you can now block malicious websites and adult content through Safe Browsing with Fortinet Secure DNS and Cisco OpenDNS. As always, we zapped more bugs to improve your experience.
