Have you ever been addicted to your phone and just cannot put it down? Forest provides an interesting solution to beat your phone addiction. You can plant a seed in Forest. In the next 30 minutes, this seed will gradually grow into a tree. However, if you cannot resist the temptation and leave this app to check Facebook or play a game, your tree will wither away. Really awesome! I have some ideas though I really love this app. I love the simplicity of the system, the design and funny things like the octopus tree. I do have some suggestions. It would be cool if you could see your entire forest of all days ever. Just one super big plane (Maybe it's there but I didn't notice) Also while I didn't mind paying a dollar for no ads and synchronizing between pc and phone (which I later found out only ios does?) I think it's kind of odd to have people pay for custom tags. But like I said. Overall an awesome app!

Got me through my exams successfully and helped me to stay focused. The beautiful trees also gave me a sense of achievement even if I was stuck at my university work. Would thoroughly recommend! For people saying they want certain apps enabled, just use the whitelist.

What rubbish is this 4 trees have withered away in 25 min. The app is still on but even if I get a single notification, the trees are withered. It's not like i am not focusing. How many apps should I whitelist and if I have to whitelist every damn app, what is the use of this. Correct this n there will b 5 stars😡. Time waste. I can probably focus better without it. Atleast I won't have to worry that my trees will be gone just because this stupid app doesn't realise if I am focusing or not😠

Nice but..... You start "focussing" based on approx. time expected.But ,you are involved in your work & you overrun the time you approximated.It needs you to manually set time again ,instead of rewarding points for the extra time (overrun) ....just as withering is punishment for pre- mature distraction.... Overrun focus should also be rewarded...also ask "what was your quality of focus ?" In percentage ...n reward based on that ..honest person will surely give true answer!

Maybe you can.. This is a brilliant idea. A new user here. Apparently, there is so-called "home button". As much as you want to keep the user from using other app, but since there is this home button, you can just leave the Forest App, and then just come back if you want to. It's a cheat I used just to see how this App will make sure that i dont use my phone. Maybe you can make this app better. Like I wont be able to click home button or else the plant will die right away. Something like that.

Rewarding, satisfying, and effective! It's a rather cute and effective way to keep my hands off my phone during study sessions. It really feels rewarding when you successfully go the designated time without distractions. One thing I would really like to see implemented would be an info page containing all time stats or perhaps a weekly/monthly view of all the trees you've planted. That would make this app perfect!

Would be a great idea and even more motivating if the company planted a real tree for every virtual tree grown. Also would like to see a plane of all trees ever grown and the ability to move trees. And I agree with the comments to give bonus points for going over manually selected time (so you don't have to break every study session by checking your phone). Also would be nice to have an option to confess other distractions in the middle.
I've used it several times on the phone and it was ok but Chrome extension is practically useless without creating an account or connecting to the app on the phone. Yes it turned out you must be logged in. After all day of collecting accomplished tasks, I'm left with no record because you don't receive any notifications that your data is not recorded. No sound alarm letting you know that you completed your task. It just feels like developers forgot to finish this app to give it a proper user experience. Don't recommend.
I like this app but.... I like it but I hate that it's a day by day instead of week by week. You quite literally may never achieve the forest you want. Some days I have 10 of the same tree. I could have a forest of 1 great tree I guess.... But that's not satisfying. I'd like to see an option to grow the forest for a week before it starts over again. You could still view the daily, just reset after a week.
