I'm done. I can't enumerate just how many hour long or longer sessions lately that I've lost with just an "oops" screen that only logged 2 or 3 seconds of focus time. I'm absolutely disgusted. I know there's some phone setting somewhere the app wants me to change but I can't find it anywhere and honestly I've spent far too much time trying. The ads are also absolutely awful at times. I'm cutting my losses and uninstalling. Time for a more user-friendly choice.

I needed an app to help with task initiation. This one meets my criteria for gaining points based on how much time I study, has a countdown, stopwatch, and allows me to collect things that need the studying points along the way as a way to motivate me to start the timer. I really like that there seems to be a minimal amount of promotional and generic ads on the app along with a graph to keep track of study hours. It's a fun, productive app that can be used without paying money. Thank you!

I used Forest with good success for a long time but after I unlocked all of the good trees it became boring and no longer motivating. Focus Plant is (WAY!) more complicated than Forest and requires more time spent on your device to learn and set up, but it's also a lot more fun and motivating because of the additional features. The only thing I'd change is to add a time limit to the "Pause" feature. It sometimes undermines the purpose of the app for me otherwise.
