About this app

OpenLeaf is a fast, feature-packed e-reader built for people who want total control over their library without the distractions. Zero ads, no subscriptions, and no bloated trackers, just you and your books.

Whether you're managing a massive local collection or looking for your next read, OpenLeaf handles the heavy lifting. It seamlessly imports your local files, organizes everything exactly how you like it, and gives you a clean, powerful space to read, listen, and track your progress.

Core features:

Smart Local Import: Feel free to bring in your own EPUBs. OpenLeaf automatically extracts covers and metadata, and smartly organizes them based on your original folder structure.

Progress Tracking & Scoring: Keep your library perfectly sorted. Track books by status (Reading, Completed, Paused, Planning, Dropped) and score them based on how much you enjoyed them.

Deep Customization: Tailor the page exactly to your liking. Choose your preferred font, dial in the perfect text size, weight, and spacing, and set custom background and text colors. You can even choose between continuous vertical scrolling or traditional horizontal page flipping.

Advanced Reading Tools: Highlight your favorite quotes, take detailed notes, and use the built-in dictionary for quick word lookups while you read.

Built-in Discovery: Don't know what to read? Browse a home page full of recommendations or use the downloader to search and fetch public domain classics instantly.

Text-to-Speech (TTS): Give your eyes a rest, plug in your headphones, and let OpenLeaf turn any e-book into an audiobook on the go.

100% Ad-Free: Reading shouldn't be interrupted by pop-ups. Enjoy a lightweight, highly optimized app that respects your screen time.

Whether you're a student analyzing literature, a power reader tracking a 500-book library, or just someone catching up on the classics, OpenLeaf gives you the tools to build your perfect reading space.

One of the best apps I've found. there's no clutter, AND NO ADS recommendations, DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THE NOTES AND HIGHLIGHTS / CUSTOMIZATION! Ahem. its beautiful the only thing id love to have, well maybe two things, are — pages are "scroll-able" like real books. — The ability to add our own websites for downloading other books, and personally since I read webnovels, maybe something like what eboox(app) does. otherwise, this is the best app I've used!!

Thank you so much for the kind words and for leaving such a detailed review! Regarding adding websites, are you referring to OPDS catalogs, importing books from direct URLs, or scraping web novels from websites? Could you share a few examples of what you're thinking of? You can do it in-app: settings > feedback or email me at support@openleaf.cc

Awesome app! I wish there were a way to set past start and finish dates for books so I could migrate the books I've read before I found this app. It would also be great to have an in-app translation feature for selected words and phrases, especially for reading in foreign languages.

Thanks for the suggestions! Both features are already in the works. You can expect the update to drop in less than a week. I'm also finalizing PDF reading capabilities, so that and testing everything is just taking a bit of time. Thanks again for the review, it means a lot!

Genuinely an incredible app! I thank you the developer for making such a gift to all of us readers using the app. One small recommendation I have is to add a mechanism for people who have PDFs in there book collection, the only missing feature in this app is pdf support. PDF conversion in-app would be great too. Much love for this great app!

Hi dev here, thanks so much for the kind words! As for PDFs, I've been working on it. Its pretty much done other than text selections in PDFs, so I'm writting a c++ JNI bridge to make it work. I just wouldn't wanna put out an inferior feature so its taking some time Anyway thanks again for using the app! I'll do my best to add PDF support asap.
