About this app

When is the garbage collection? Abfall CH answers that question in a second—for over 500 Swiss municipalities, in a single app.

SELECT YOUR MUNICIPALITY, DONE
Share your location or enter your postal code. The app then shows you the upcoming collection dates for your municipality: general waste, green waste, paper, cardboard, scrap metal, bulky waste, wood chipping service, hazardous waste, and anything else your municipality collects.

EVEN WITHOUT INTERNET
The calendar is on your device. In the basement, on the train, in a dead zone—the app still works.

THE WIDGET IS THE KEY
Nobody opens an app in the morning to check if it's paper collection day. They look at their phone, and the answer is right there.

REMINDER TWO DAYS IN ADVANCE
The night before is often too late: green waste needs to be bundled, cardboard tied up, and bulky waste tagged—and you buy the tag at the store, not at 6 p.m. the night before. The lead time can be set from one to three days.

IN 15 LANGUAGES
German, French, Italian, Romansh, English, Portuguese, Albanian, Serbian, Croatian, Spanish, Turkish, Macedonian, Tamil, Ukrainian, Arabic. The names of your municipality remain in their original language—the surrounding text is translated.

FOR OUR SENSE

This app is not official. The dates come directly from the municipalities themselves, and each calendar clearly states its source and when we obtained it. The app will tell you if the data might be incomplete, instead of pretending to know better. If your community is missing, the app will also tell you that—and we're working on it.
