I'm giving it 3 stars because although it's a pretty good app for chess, runs smoothly and you can play offline as well, and by the looks of it, it has hundreds if not thousands of puzzles and games to play while playing through the puzzle section. Where it falls short 2 stars is alot of the puzzles are mostly just full on chess games either starting from the beginning, middle game or end game. Basically they aren't really puzzles at all, just normal chess matches.

Update: the constant interruption of telling me I've made a mistake is jarring enough that I can't play this game, anymore. Especially considering that I ignored the offer to take back a move and was able to capture the Queen. Great concept! There needs to be a level-related reward for getting to each level, like a new board or a new set of pieces. At the very least some aesthetic theme related to the levels as they are on the map. Keep up the good work!

I like the game but it has many flaws I find would make the game fair. For instance, many times the game stalemates when clearly the game would've been won and top of that you loose a heart for it. Many of the opening suggestion algorithms make quite silly moves where even when made the game tells YOU you made a mistake when the suggestions would've been otherwise best moves (quite unfair I would say.) I enjoy the learning and game play but clearly there's a lot of emphasis on in game purchases which make it playing not so palatable. I've played/invested enough to validate that which I said in this review.
