Devices do not even attempt to connect to networks with 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz on the same SSID. no passwords are obfuscated in the app. no special characters or long passwords are allowed for your wifi password. indicates to me very improper password management and will likely result in security vulnerabilities in your home. Followup: In response to changing the WiFi to one that's on 2.4Ghz: Mine is. Google WiFi and many other modern wireless access points combine the 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz bands on a common SSID. This makes transitioning between the higher speed, lower range frequency and the slower but longer range bands easier for the end user.

Hi Scott, in most of the caes when 2.4G and 5G have same SSID, mobile phone automatically connect with 5G which is not allowed to use when add device to app. It is better to turn off 5G or change 5G SSID when configuration.

biggest issue I and othera who I know use this is, when you tell alexa to turn something on it will turn the device on and then off really quick, as if its sending the signal twice really fast. it has been doing this for over a year, I am surprised it hasn't been fixed. buttons have been relearned many times, the device is sending the same IR code multiple times
