About this app

LineMaster is an app for theatre and film actors to learn and rehearse roles anywhere. It works fully offline: no sign-up, no network, every script stays on your device.

CREATE SCRIPTS
— Start a play with a title, author, and your character.
— Add lines one by one: character, text, and scene.
— Bulk import: paste a whole script as one block — the app recognizes roles and scenes from lines like "Character: line" or "Character «line»".
— Scripts support English, Russian, and Chinese.

SIX REHEARSAL MODES
1. Masked recall — your lines are hidden. Recall them from the other characters' cues and check how well you remember.
2. Read through — read the full script with your lines highlighted, filter by character, adjust font size.
3. Run lines — the app reads the other characters' lines aloud, like a live scene partner. Auto-advance and adjustable speed.
4. Cloze test — key words are blanked out. Type the line from memory and get a similarity score.
5. Record & self-check — say the line from memory, record yourself, and play it back to compare. Loop mode for tough lines.
6. Dictation — speak the line from memory; the app recognizes your speech and grades it word by word.

TRACK PROGRESS
— Every line is tagged: New, Learning, or Memorized.
— See your progress on the home screen and in the rehearsal menu.

APPEARANCE & LANGUAGE
— Light, dark, or follow-system theme.
— Interface in English, Chinese, or Russian.

LineMaster is built for actors who value focus. No accounts, fully offline — just you and the text.
