Virtue turns your Android phone into the missing dial on your car's dashboard.

Mount the phone, set gravity, set driving direction, and drive smoothly. The app reads the phone accelerometer locally and turns vehicle motion into a simple full-screen signal. Smooth driving keeps the display calm. Harsh braking, acceleration, or cornering makes motion visible immediately.

Virtue is built around a traffic-flow finding from phantom-jam research: smoother speed changes can dampen stop-and-go waves. In a 20-car closed-track study, one controlled vehicle reduced extreme braking by 98 percent and lowered total fuel use across the experiment by 40 percent. Virtue is not an automated driving system and does not promise traffic, fuel-economy, or safety outcomes; it gives drivers a clear feedback signal for smoother inputs.
