I'm giving it five stars to thank them for the effort and encourage further development. it's a good start. what would really make it more usable would be to add a search in page function / ability, so that after a page is loaded in GLASP, then I could quickly find where I was reading and want to highlight. also, if I click on a highlight, then I would expect it to jump me to that location in the page. any possibility of adding that functionality?

Thank you, and sorry for the slow reply. In a video transcript, tapping a timestamp does jump you to that moment. Doing the same from the highlights list, and find in page, are not there yet. Both are fair asks and we have noted them. The app was rebuilt this June, so it is worth another look.

Like some of the other comments said, this is a useful first attempt, but the problem with copy-pasting a URL from the internet into Glasp is that it's asking Glasp to act as my favorite browser, and it doesn't have some of the scroll or search or other functionality that my favorite browsers have. For this reason, I think it would be much more useful as a browser extension that lets me comment on what Im already seeing rather than a standalone app.

Fair point, and you should not have to paste a URL for something you read often. If you follow a blog, newsletter or YouTube channel in the Feed, new posts arrive in the app and you can highlight them with nothing to paste. Android does not allow browser extensions, which is why that route is iPhone only.

nothing useful, it cannot do what it supposedly doing, it's just like an automated system saying she's not capable of answering all my queries, like a grade 3 ROW 4 AI. there's a limit on question that got maxed out without getting the info needed. such a poor apps.

Burning a limited quota on answers that did not help is the worst version of this, and fair to be angry about. You were on the first build of a rewritten app, four days old then. Since then we changed how AI works across the app, including a Chat grounded in the page or video you are on. hi[at]glasp.co if it still cannot answer.

What’s new

• Fixed: a highlight you make in a PDF no longer covers the words it highlights. It painted over the text as a solid block until you left the PDF or rotated the screen.
• Fixed: changing a highlight's colour straight after creating it now shows the new colour in PDFs.
