Rest assured, the Grassfeld app allows you to safely and easily link your bank account(s). By doing so, you permit Grassfeld to collect your transactions. You can then sort, label, and create budgets/targets in the app. It’s now possible to link accounts of more than 21,000 banks. You can also connect to many international banks from almost every European country, the UK, parts of the US, and many more banks to come anytime soon!

The Grassfeld app can be used in two ways:

1. The Grassfeld app lets you link your bank account, opening a so-called "live feed." This means that we will collect your transactions daily in the app. We provide the link in collaboration with our partners. Please note that you are limited to linking one account with the free app.
2. The Grassfeld app allows you to add transactions without an active bank link manually. However, a bank link works much better and saves you a lot of time and hassle!

The Grassfeld app is pretty clever! Most transactions can be automatically sorted and labeled, but unfortunately, not all. You can manually change or add a label if a transaction is not labeled correctly. All future transactions will then be automatically labeled with your desired label.

Ratings and reviews

Update: downgraded to 3* because one big frustration is you cannot change the date on a transaction. Credit card purchases in Dec, for example, get applied to January, when the claim goes to your bank account, so accounting of monthly/yearly spending is actually inaccurate. Previous review 5*; Fantastic app. I tried 4 or 5 competitors but this has more features, free, and the interface is excellent. Recommended. (Used with a Belgian bank account.)

What I especially like of this app is that I can link a bank/card account so as for transactions to flow directly into the app, plus the fact of creating customized categories with hierarchies structure. The downside, is that the UI has some glitches sometimes (e.g.numbers/letters overlapped).

I tried the paid version and it seem to be a good app, but it missed an essential feature needed in order for a user not to be bound forever to the app, it doesn't allow any import or export of the data to csv files (for internal backup or to change the app it we are are not satisfied anymore). Lot of other competitors like dyme, spendee, spendle have that option. I've asked the support team to add this to their upcoming features but I got a not so friendly reply saying that they will not do it.
