Intended as a supplement to the print and digital editions of the Trinity Psalter Hymnal (https://www.trinitypsalterhymnal.org/), the Trinity Psalter Hymnal app features the full text and music of the songbook, as well as tune recordings (professional and high-quality MP3 recordings to come soon in a future upgrade). Some key features of the app include: searchable full text, browsable title and first line index, favorite songs list, advanceable bookmark for working through the songs one by one, and looping of a tune for the number of stanzas in each song. The mobile app is a great resource for planning worship, learning new songs, and singing along in family devotions.

Future app upgrades and features are being developed to include professional and high-quality MP3 tune recordings, browsable hymn table of contents, and robust Scripture and tune indexes akin to those in the print editions. By purchasing and downloading digital editions of the Trinity Psalter Hymnal, the purchaser agrees to the TPH Digital End User Agreement.

Ratings and reviews

This app gives you all of the psalms put to music as well as an abundance of excellent old hymns along with sheet music and piano audio. I am thankful that I can sing the psalms on my own with lyrics and piano in one convenient place.

After an initial review looks pretty great! Layout is very similar to the Book of Psalms for Worship App which is to be expected as they share the same developer. Sadly, the app does not appear to include the three forms of unity or the Westminster standards which are included in the print version, but other than that looks great!

Works Offline! Seeing the lyrics and the notes is great for family worship on the go. Being able to listen to a piano play the notes is extremely helpful for learning Psalms with unfamiliar tunes. Absolutely love it. Highly recommend both the physical book and this app. Together and separately they are fantastic.
