Located in the northwest of the New Territories, Yuen Long's landscape is dominated by mountains, rivers, and wetlands, nurturing a diverse and rich ecological environment and species. How many of them do you know? Step into the marvelous world of Northern Metropolis AR Doodle to discover it all!
This experience leverages AR (Augmented Reality) technology to showcase the natural landscapes and animal ecology of Yuen Long, guiding you to explore Hong Kong's ecological treasures—the Hong Kong Wetland Park, Nam Sang Wai, Mai Po Nature Reserve, and the Yuen Long Park Aviary Tower. Simply add color to the animals on the coloring paper, and your creative work will be captured by the AR lens and come to life instantly right before your eyes!
Through AR technology, this experience allows you to immerse yourself in nature and understand the significance of ecological conservation. It also demonstrates the wide application of AR in education and creative expression, creating new learning experiences.
Northern Metropolis AR Doodle allows participants to learn about Yuen Long's ecology in an AR (Augmented Reality) world, where they can colour the animals and interact with them.
Method:
1. Select a worksheet featuring your favourite animal in real life. Unleash your creativity and colour it.
2. When you finish, choose the location where the animal appears on the AR app.
3. Align the edges of the worksheet and the photo frame. Take a picture of the little animal and you can “capture” it.
4. Try different buttons to interact with the animal!
