Retronomicon is built to fix exactly that: a searchable, personal encyclopedia for the games you grew up with, and the ones you're only just now discovering, so nothing you're curious about gets lost again!

Under the hood, it's backed by a catalog spanning 35+ classic retro platforms (NES, SNES, Neo Geo Pocket, Vectrex, 3DO, PSX, and beyond) with cover art, developer info, and release details pulled from IGDB's game database.

Everything you rate, tag, or write down stays on your device. There's no account to create, no login, no cloud sync and no ads or trackers watching what you do. No server to go down, either: this is the kind of app that'll still open and work exactly the same in ten years, whether or not I'm still actively maintaining it.

Export your full library anytime as a backup (JSON) or a spreadsheet-friendly table (CSV) you can open in Excel.

New: Random by Filter — Combine any of your existing filters (Genre, Platform, Developer, Region, Tag, Status, Year) to roll a random pick from exactly the slice of your library you want. Great for "surprise me, but only SNES RPGs" type moods (Thanks Ben!)
