DupliFinder — find the duplicate photos your file manager misses

Transferred photos to a new phone? Reconnected your cloud account and watched your gallery fill up again with photos you already had? You're not imagining it — when photos get restored from a backup, they often come back with different filenames and slightly different file sizes, even though they look identical to you. Most file managers and gallery apps only catch exact copies, so these near-duplicates slip right through and quietly eat up your storage.

DupliFinder is built specifically to catch what those tools miss.

That means it finds duplicates even when:
- The photo was renamed during a transfer or backup restore
- The image was recompressed or resized slightly (common with cloud backups)
- The same photo exists in two different folders or albums

Everything stays on your phone
DupliFinder does all of its scanning and matching directly on your device. There's no cloud backend, no AI service, and nothing about your photos is ever uploaded or sent anywhere. Your photos never leave your phone — the app simply reads them, compares them, and shows you the results.

You're always in control
Once duplicates are found, they're grouped so you can see matching photos side by side. Pick which copies to keep and which to remove — DupliFinder never deletes anything on its own. Every deletion goes through your device's own confirmation prompt, so nothing is removed without you approving it.

Adjustable sensitivity
Not every "similar" photo is a true duplicate — burst shots and near-identical shots can look alike too. DupliFinder lets you adjust how strict the matching is, so you can be conservative and only see obvious duplicates, or more thorough and catch subtler ones.

Built-in gallery apps and file managers are designed for browsing and organizing — duplicate detection is an afterthought, if it's there at all, and usually only flags identical files.
