About this game

After my last game SUMMERHOUSE, I wanted to make something radically different. Still small, but faster, with numbers, fights and goblins!

The result is SLOTS & DAGGERS!

To make this game I combined a lot of things I deeply love - weird fantasy worlds, crude drawings of strange little guys, old school crunchy hiphop drum machines and addictive arcade games that go “PLING PLING PLING” as they spit out little coins - with classic roguelike mechanics.

As with SUMMERHOUSE, please keep in mind this game is a solo project - small, focused, and made with care. It’s meant to be short and sweet and doesn’t have the amount of content as games built by bigger teams over years, but I think it’s a fair deal!

It was a pretty good game but in less than 4 hours I beat the game, purchased everything, beat the game using poison build, physical build, re-roll build, and tank build. Anyone saying you can't win with those builds has no idea what they are doing in those builds. Arena was fun to test things but got old after a few runs. I'll keep an eye out and play updates, if there's enough content I'll update my rating, but it's just not worth the money with current playability.

An interesting game but 3 things make me want to put it down: 1. It makes my phone get really hot for some reason... no other games do this. 2. The skill checks could be a bit easier... come on man. Not everybody has the reflexes and timing of a cheetah. The bow and arrow is ridiculously hard. 3. It's pretty frustrating when you buy an item like the bicep or the throwing axe and then it always lands in a wheel that makes it completely useless. Makes me feel like Im wasting my time.

The actual game itself is really good but it does have some graphical issues. for example, even though I set my frame rate to 120, it looks like it really isn't even hitting anywhere close to that and has massive frame rate issues. also, the screen looks extremely stretched out, and the text is small and basically the entire thing is blurry when I open up my pixel fold screen. fix those two issues and I have nothing else to complain about
