About this app

The GT eToken is a mobile application for generating One Time Passwords (OTPs) used in authenticating electronic transactions.

A one-time password (OTP) is a secure and automatically generated string of characters that authenticates the user for login and/or electronic transaction completion.

Electronic transactions include (but may not be limited to) web, internet banking and mobile banking transactions, where you are required to enter a 6-digit token-generated code.

A one-time password (OTP) generated from your GT eToken App can be used as an alternative to or alongside the GTBank hardware token device.

Activating Your GT eToken app:
To activate your GT eToken app, select your customer type and choose your preferred activation method, which can be the use of your Bank card, Hardware Token or by calling contact center to get an authorization code.

Your data ID will be verified to complete the activation.

Using Your GT eToken app:
Once your app is activated, you can create a unique 6-digit Pascode that will be used for subsequent log in to the application and enjoy 24/7 banking.

Using GTB as your primary business account is a very BAD idea, just because of this etoken app. It seems like every 5 months or so, this etoken app stops working. You have to physically go to the bank to get the authorization code, which can delay by as much as 2 to 4 days. Now imagine the embarrassment & pain when this happened on Saturday when you travelled abroad & you can't make urgent business payments. I will be switching my business account to a more stable bank as a result.

The GT eToken app doesn't work, don't be deceived. Whatever you wish to do, kindly visit a physical branch of a GTBank to get it done or just forget about it. The branches too no longer issue a hardware token if you are thinking of getting one. Unless you make a physical visit, nothing will change for you. This app deserves less than a one star, it serves no purpose

I exceeded the onboarding limit in the old app, and I quickly downloaded this latest update, hoping to see an improved onboarding process. Sad to say that the updated app carried over the same error message of "onboarding limit exceeded" Since the developer and customer service can't reset this error message without undue stress, I have given up on the app. I can't improve my rating as I have no chance to assess the app.
