About this app

The app transforms middle-distance running into a true incremental game where every effort made on the track allows the player to develop their character, unlock equipment, improve their abilities, and progress toward new goals.

The student no longer runs solely to achieve a performance: they run to advance their avatar... while progressively developing their running skills.

Giving meaning to learning situations
All the situations proposed by the teacher immediately find a use in the game. Whether it's steady-pace work, interval training, a VO2 max session, pace change work, a long run, or active recovery, each effort generates resources that will improve the character.

Exercises are therefore no longer perceived as successive constraints but as different missions leading to a common goal. This continuity gives a new coherence to the entire training cycle.

Learning to Manage Effort
Beyond motivation, Inc Running focuses on the fundamental learning expected in physical education programs. Students develop skills such as:

identifying different running paces;
adapting their pace to a given duration;
maintaining a consistent speed;
managing recovery time;
understanding the effects of different types of training; and
building effort strategies adapted to their level.
These skills are naturally used throughout the game's progression.

Making Progress Visible
One of the challenges of middle-distance running is that progress often goes unnoticed by students. Inc Running celebrates every success. Performances achieved during training sessions allow students to gain experience, unlock new equipment, improve their character's stats, reach higher levels, and access new challenges. Even modest progress becomes immediately visible: students see that each session brings them closer to a new goal.

The points earned by the runner allow them to upgrade their equipment. The point earned for each lap is calculated by multiplying the base score (based on the percentage of VMA) by an equipment coefficient. The better the equipment, the more points each lap earns! As the equipment is upgraded, the runner earns more and more points, similar to an incremental game, and the score increases rapidly, which is motivating for the student.

Furthermore, by accumulating kilometers, the avatar also levels up and can progress to level 2 and then level 3, adding another fun and motivating element.

If the target pace for each lap is not maintained, the time taken can be recorded: points are not awarded, but the distance and running time are taken into account, allowing the total performance achieved by the runner during the session or sequence to be determined.

Developing autonomy
The application promotes more independent training. Session after session, students take control of:

choosing a progression strategy;

Managing their resources;

Planning their improvements;
Interpreting their performance;

Adjusting their work.
They gradually transition from being passive participants to active agents in their own development.

Observation/Coaching
A coaching screen allows you to track the runner's overall performance: number of laps completed at each pace, success rate, and race time.

It is also possible to track a specific lap to observe and coach the runner: the observer clicks the cone button each time the runner passes a cone on the course. A measuring wire passes the cones at the ideal speed, allowing you to see if the runner is at the correct pace, ahead of, or behind the target pace.
Make your runner progress according to the percentage of VMA used!
