About this app

The Musnad of Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal is one of the most important sources of the Prophetic Hadith, ranking third in importance after the two Sahihs (Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim) and the four Sunan.

The Musnad contains approximately 40,000 Hadiths, of which nearly 10,000 are repetitions, bringing the total number of unique Hadiths to around 30,000.

The Selected Hadiths: Imam Ahmad selected these from over 750,000 Hadiths that he had memorized and studied.

The Arrangement and Content Method: The Musnad Method: Imam Ahmad arranged his book according to the narrations of the Companions. He would mention the name of each Companion and then compile all the Hadiths narrated by that Companion, regardless of the subject matter (whether related to jurisprudence, exegesis, or spiritual matters).

The Musnads include narrations from approximately 904 Companions. Sections: Scholars divided the book into approximately 18 main sections, beginning with the section on the Ten Promised Paradise, and continuing until it concludes with the section on Women.

Completion of the Book: Imam Ahmad was unable to revise it before his death, so his son Abdullah and the narrator Abu Bakr al-Qati'i completed it with additions known as the Additions of Abdullah and al-Qati'i.

Accreditation of the Hadiths in the Musnad: Scholars differed on the authenticity of its hadiths, but the prevailing opinion among Sunni scholars such as Ibn Taymiyyah, al-Dhahabi, and Ibn Hajar is that most of its hadiths are good or authentic (Jayyid). Any weaknesses are strengthened by supporting narrations and corroborating evidence. No fabricated hadiths are found in it except those added by mistake or very rarely.

The Musnad application has several features, including:

A quick and accurate search across all chapters of the book, with search terms highlighted, which distinguishes it from other applications.

A quick and accurate search within each chapter, displaying all results.

An index is provided for all chapters in the book, making it easy to find any specific chapter.

A night reading mode is included for eye comfort while reading.

The app saves the last page read in each chapter and automatically returns to it when you return to it.

The app does not require an internet connection to function.

It features a simple and user-friendly interface.

The app is very small in size and does not take up much space on your phone.

It performs quickly, smoothly, and is compatible with all phones and other devices.
