The BallBOPPer App is for use with the BallBOPPer tennis training robot which features autonomous ball launching, autonomous court roving, and autonomous ball reloading.

The robot uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to rove and launch balls with full-court accuracy. The Player is not required to precisely position or aim the BallBOPPer — the robot does this by itself "autonomously".

The BallBOPPer's App let's you configure each ball with its own launch point, launch height, shot height, spin and landing spot. Tennis Players and Coaches use the App to sequence a series of shots into "Patterns of Play" that simulate specific tennis playing styles.

Patterns can then be combined into a "Playlist" to create full-length tennis training sessions. Then these training sessions can be run on any standard tennis court using the BallBOPPer robot.

What’s new

The main change with this release is the incorporation of the Z axis. The BallBOPPer App will now not only control the X,Y location of the Launcher and Rover on the tennis court, but it now controls the height of the launcher above the court. The BallBOPPer hardware that is capable of raising and lowering the Launcher above the court is just now being tested. Once testing is complete, there will be a video demo showing this capability in action. Thanks for your help with testing this app!
