About this app

Scam call blocker and AI checks for suspicious texts, links, photos and letters. StopScam helps you recognize warning signs before you reply, click or pay.

CALL PROTECTION
Choose call protection settings to help block or silence suspected spam and scam calls. StopScam uses available number information and risk signals; a flagged number is not proof of fraud, and a new or unlisted scam number may not be recognized.

Call protection needs the Android call-screening role, enabled protection and an active subscription. See warnings in StopScam notifications and call history.

CHECK A MESSAGE, LINK OR PHOTO
Paste a suspicious text or email, submit a complete link, upload a screenshot or photograph a paper letter. You can also select PDF pages for review. Ask the assistant about a situation that worries you.

AI checks explain signs such as pressure to act, unusual payment requests and suspicious wording, with practical next steps. Link checks focus on the URL and context you submit; they do not inspect the destination website.

Use the explanation to discuss a suspicious message with a parent, friend or someone you trust.

OPTIONAL AUTOMATIC SMS CHECKS
Turn on automatic checks to receive alerts when incoming SMS messages show a high scam risk. This requires SMS permissions, enabled protection, an active subscription and your separate consent to automatic online analysis.

SMS messages still arrive in your messaging app. StopScam does not block their delivery or delete them from your inbox. You can also paste a message for a manual check.

EMAIL BREACH CHECKS AND ALERTS
Check whether an email address appears in known data breaches. Turn on monitoring for each address you want to follow and confirm it is active. Saving an address alone does not activate alerts. Breach records do not prove an account is currently compromised, and coverage is not complete.

REVIEW DEVICE SETTINGS
Review supported device security settings and get recommendations you can act on.

PRIVACY AND SUBSCRIPTIONS
Content submitted for AI analysis is processed online with your consent. Automatic SMS analysis has its own consent setting. Do not submit passwords or verification codes in a scam check.

Some features require an active subscription. Prices, renewal terms and any available trial are shown before purchase. Manage or cancel your subscription in Google Play.

Results are advisory. No app can detect every scam, and a result without warnings does not prove something is safe. If you are unsure, avoid clicking, paying or sharing codes, and verify through a trusted contact method.

OPTIONAL WEB PROTECTION (VPN SERVICE)
With your consent, StopScam uses Android VpnService as a local DNS filter to help block domains on its threat list. Allowed DNS requests are encrypted with TLS and sent to Cloudflare (1.1.1.1), which receives the requested domains and your public IP address. This is not a full-traffic VPN: page content is not sent through it, and apps using their own DNS may bypass it. StopScam does not keep browsing history or redirect traffic for advertising. You can turn protection off at any time. An active subscription is required.
