The Explore Ohio State Parks app is free and can be used over WiFi, cellular data plans, or downloaded prior to your visit. The app features a growing library of experiences designed to use technology to enhance your exploration, while not distracting from the rich histories and natural beauty our parks offer. Begin at Miner's Memorial Park at Jesse Owens State Park, where the preserved bucket of Big Muskie — the largest dragline ever built — still stands. Walk the site and watch the machine rise again on the horizon at full height. Sit in the operator's cab. Hear from the people who ran it. See how the coal beneath this valley formed hundreds of millions of years ago, and how this whole landscape was stripped bare and then deliberately rebuilt. The app will also let us share information and experiences in ways we previously could not.
