About this app

Find out about the fascinating cultural and natural resources in a park near close to you or adventure travel across the District to hit the trail and uncover new experiences.

The East Bay Regional Park District is a system of beautiful parklands in Alameda and Contra Costa counties to the east of San Francisco. The system comprises 73 parks spanning 126,809 acres; 1,330 miles of trails; and 55 miles of shoreline. We manage and preserve natural and cultural resources for all to enjoy and protect. The regional parks are ideal for healthful recreation and environmental education.

With the East Bay Parks Explorer app, you can;

Download an interactive map of a park you’re in or plan to visit, and you’ll always have a Naturalist with you, highlighting points of interest along the way.

Ask a Naturalist anything with the ‘Ask A Virtual Naturalist’ augmented reality experience.

Open the map of East Bay Regional Parks to discover a new park to explore.
