About this game

Canaletras is an educational resource that the Canarian Academy of Language makes available to schools in the Canary Islands and the general public. This game aims to help users learn new Canarian words by searching for them in a crossword puzzle that is solved using words that share the same letters.

How to play?

- Tap on one of the crossword squares to read the definition of the hidden Canarian word.

- If you already know the word, tap on the first letter of the word and, without releasing the button, move through the letters that make it up. You will see it appear in the box at the top.

- Once you have completed the word, release the button, and if it is one of the hidden words in the crossword, it will be placed in its corresponding square.

Please note:

- All the words included in the crossword puzzle are listed in the Basic Dictionary of Canarian Words.

- Even if the word is partially revealed, to uncover it you must trace it completely, letter by letter.

- If you don't know what the word is, you can use the magnifying glasses (you have two), which will allow you to fill in some of the empty squares, making it easier to solve the crossword.
