4. AcurastChecker matches the detected phone against the official Acurast device database — fetched live from Acurast's Google Sheet
5. You receive a clear verdict: High compatibility, Medium, Low, or Unsupported — with a detailed explanation

• AI Vision Scan — Uses your device camera and Google's Gemini Vision model to identify any phone model automatically. No typing, no searching. Works for both Android and iPhone targets.

• Live Device List — Fetches the latest supported phones directly from Acurast's official Google Sheet on every scan. Includes an AsyncStorage cache (24-hour TTL) so it works offline too, plus a curated static fallback list shipped with the app.

• Instant Compatibility Verdict — Checks OS version against minimum requirements (Android 12+ with locked bootloader and non-rooted, or iPhone 6S+ on iOS 15+). Also verifies whether the device appears in Acurast's Recommended, Tested, or Eligible lists.

• Local Device Detection — Your own phone's model and OS are detected automatically on the Home screen using react-native-device-info. No camera needed for a quick self-check.

• Scan History — Every scan is saved locally with a timestamp. Browse past results to compare phones or revisit earlier verdicts.

• Privacy-First Architecture — Camera images are processed through Firebase Cloud Functions secured by Firebase Authentication (anonymous sign-in) and Firebase App Check. No images are stored. Your data stays yours.
