I do have a few games I need to turn it off to let them download version updates, but I can flick it back on after and its golden.

turns off constantly for no reason, I always realize it and have to turn it back on. do not use - just adjust your dns settings manually

Hello! AdGuard DNS app does not have a background process, so it cannot be closed from the recent apps list to keep it running. needs better integration with adguard. all 3x apps don't work in synch. ad guard and the VPN SOMETIMES.. work together but the dns won't connect and there's no way to control all 3 in a hub.

Hello! You should use your Private DNS inside AdGuard AdBlocker or AdGuard VPN app, not as a separate application. Simply choose the "via AdGuard apps" option to do so during setup. And the standalone DNS app is designed for users who don't have AdBlocker or VPN.
