About this app

This is the official mobile app of the Golf Handicap Information Network (GHIN), a service offered by the USGA to golf associations worldwide.

Ratings and reviews

I like the app design and layout. I only use a couple of features. However, my issue with it is that the app doesn't allow me to enter my score on the same day I play. If I change the date in the system to a different day in the past, it will allow me to input but will give me a quippy message saying "Ensure you put future scores in on the same day of play for accurate handicap accounting." Functionally I can still use the app, but this is a very annoying error that could easily be fixed.

This app is great for handicaps (maintaining yours, looking up others) so 5-stars for that, but crashes when I try to use the scorecard (play/gps) it crashes immediately after download the course. The best ball and regular scorecards would be a great feature to have, but 0-stars for that part. It ALWAYS crashes, which makes me wonder how/whether this functionality was even tested before release. I have an Android phone.

Lately the app will not load on my phone. I've tried clearing the cache/data, uninstalling/reinstalling, rebooting phone, etc. I cannot log in from my computer either; I get an "internal error" message every time. I've used the app for several years and in general find it to be okay, but if you can't log in to record your score on the day you got a hole in one, it's useless!!!!!
