The u-Smell-it App is to be used together with the u-Smell-it scent cards as a quick and easy way to help see how well you can smell. Briefly the App reads the unique QR-code of the card with the camera. Then the user scratches and smells different scent windows on the card and using the App picks the best choice between common scents (eg. vanilla, mint, strawberry). The App then tallies the results and indicates if you appear to have a normal ability to smell or a loss-of-smell (anosmia).
The results of the test do non consist of a medical diagnosis and one should not take any medical action based on the results. As this is a quick test with limited scents the test may fail to detect people with a partial loss of smell (it may give a false negative result).
