AI LAB is an idle management sim about running a research facility that
trains increasingly powerful AI models — and living with the consequences
of every one of them. This isn't a tap-to-win clicker. It's a lab you
build, a research tree you climb, and a growing list of creations you're
personally responsible for containing.

YOUR LAB NEVER STOPS
Compute, credits, research, data, and energy all accumulate while you're
away — the moment you open the app, your lab has been working the whole
time you weren't looking. Offline progress is real progress, not a
consolation prize: come back after a long day and cash in on everything
your models produced without you.

TRAIN AI THAT GROWS WITH YOU
Start with a single training cluster and grow it into a full research
campus. Train a lineup of distinct AI models, each with its own
generation, traits, and risk profile — low-risk workhorses for steady
income, or high-risk, high-reward models that pay off big and fail
spectacularly. Every model you commit to training is a real trade-off
between value and danger.

EXPAND YOUR TERRITORY
Your lab starts as a single deck. Unlock new sectors with the credits
you earn, and each one opens new infrastructure to build: research labs,
GPU racks, power systems, security systems, sandbox environments,
containment vaults, and more. Later sectors gate access to more advanced
model generations, so growing your footprint isn't optional — it's how
you unlock what comes next.

INCIDENTS WILL HAPPEN — AND THEY GET WORSE
The more capable your AI becomes, the more likely it is to cause an
incident. When one hits, you'll dig into logs, system traces, and model
dialogue to figure out what went wrong, then solve a procedurally
generated puzzle tied directly to that failure to contain it. Puzzles
span multiple families with over a hundred variations, so no two
incidents play out quite the same way.

Let an incident sit too long on a dangerous model, and it can escape
containment outright. An escaped model stops producing anything and
actively drains your resources and lab-wide threat level every tick
until you track it down and solve a harder recapture puzzle to bring
it back in. Containment isn't a side mechanic — it's the whole point.

RESEARCH, UPGRADE, REPEAT
Spend research points on a real upgrade tree to raise resource capacity,
speed up production, and strengthen your ability to handle what your AI
throws at you. Repair and upgrade infrastructure as it takes damage from
incidents. Chase daily goals and a rotating streak for extra rewards, and
work through a chain of longer-term objectives that pace your climb from
first model to full lab.
