Update - It's now the following year and I downloaded this app again. I don't know how it's possible, but it's even WORSE than last year! Literally, every couple of minutes it replays all the terrible ads I had to sit through a couple of minutes ago! This is such an awesome station, but the app is useless. Original - Love this station, but it needs to work on this app. Stops to buffer constantly even on full strength WiFi. And the odd repetition of some ads and even programming, gets tiresome.

Good: Listening to WMAL with this app reduces the number of repetitive ads heard using most other 3rd-party streaming apps. While there are occasional interruptions, the app usually recovers the stream. Not so good: The presentation of visual ads is its MOST annoying feature compared to other streaming apps. Most user-initiated stream transitions (pausing stream, switching BT target, playing directly on the phone, etc.), result in a visual ad that must be dismissed to resume stream.

I love the "hey Google" option to open the app, but what the hell good is it if I have to unlock the phone while on the road to close a visual ad? I understand the need for advertisment but, visual ads on apps that most people use while driving is nonsensical. On top of that, you'd think maybe I can just start the app before starting my trip...then it crashes so you'd have to go through the ad BS again.
