Ratings and reviews

Prompts for a review when you haven't even used it. It's a great 👍🏼 app but it keeps saying that I denied read/write access to my SD card. The app settings from the app or my phone settings doesn't even have that feature for storage access. The app also keeps giving an error when I try to give access to any Google storage drive. You're forced to use your internal storage or manually transfer to SD card. You're forced to use this app to read/retrieve backups. Forced to pay $14.99 to view files.

First off, some of the most intrusive ads on any app I've used. Second, the app only recognizes .apk extension files for app restore...but when backing up it makes half the apps .apks files. Why? What does the "s" mean? I have no idea, but if you make an app write a file it should be able to read what it wrote, shouldn't it?

Good: free, SD card write, not overly complex configuration, reasonable footprint, responsive developer, and one-time payment to eliminate ads is reasonable. Not good: won't open behind a VPN, no setting to specify number of backup versions to keep, updates are never explained, and auto-backup of updated and newly installed apps is delayed instead of on-the-fly as before. Found you can jump-start apk backup by opening app itself.
