About this app

The RadiaCode-101 is a portable radiation dosimeter that uses a highly sensitive scintillation detector for analyzing environmental radiation levels in real-time.

The dosimeter can be operated in one of three ways: autonomously, through a smartphone app (via Bluetooth or USB), or through PC software (via USB).

In all operation modes, RadiaCode-101:

- Measures current dose rate levels of gamma and X-ray radiation and can display the data in numerical values, or as a graph;
- Calculates and displays the cumulative dose of the gamma and X-ray radiation;
- Calculates and displays the cumulative radiation energy spectrum;
- Signals when dose rate or cumulative radiation dose exceeds thresholds set by a user;
- Continuously stores the above data in non-volatile memory;
- While under the app control, it continuously streams the data to the control gadget for real-time indication and storing it in database.

The app allows:

- Setting RadiaCode-101 parameters;
- Displaying all types of measurement results;
- Storing the measurement results in the database with time stamps and location tags;
- Tracking the route data points on Google Maps and displaying them with the dose rate color tags.

In demo mode, the app works with a virtual device. This gives you the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the app before you purchase the device.

RadiaCode-101 indicators:

- LCD
- LEDs
- alarm sound
- vibration

Controls: 3 buttons.
Power supply: built-in 1000 mAh Li-pol battery.
Run time: > 10 days.

This is a combined review of the device and the app: Both are 5 stars! Both have exceeded my expectation in feature set and reliability. Everything works as expected, and it does everything I wanted and then some. I'm detecting and measuring things I thought I'd need a lab and a grant for, this is amazing. The map view is my favorite, but the graph view is excellent, and the spectrometry view is why I bought it in the first place. In addition, the ability to mirror all functionality and settings of the device on the app is amazing. Very good work done here by the engineers responsible!

Amazing, an actual portable gama spectrometer! The device is excellent so far! The only issue I've noticed, is while zooming in on the dose rate or CPS graphs, sometimes it will get stuck and the graph won't zoom out properly and it won't track back to the beginning of the data stream. it's easily fixed by closing and re opening the app. I can't really complain though, this technology is utterly incredible to be able to fit in my pocket 5/5 stars

Five stars for the app and even more so for the device. . This app is one of those rare cases when a great instrument also has a great app. The app is slick and well organised and does (almost) evertything I want it to. When I first wrote review the one thing I missed most and wished it had it had was the ability to periodically record the spectrum data with timestamps and now in the latest release they have included that as the Spectrogram tab. This is an extremely valuable addition for me.

What's new

Fixed a compatibility bug with Android 13 that occurred on some smartphones.

Added the ability to display a count rate graph on the spectrogram.

Added the ability to select the start tab when launching the application.

Added the ability to animate the application icon in the smartphone status bar when the device is connected.
