About this app

The Radiacode is a portable radiation dosimeter that uses a highly sensitive scintillation detector for analyzing environmental radiation levels in real-time.

The dosimeter can be operated in one of three ways: autonomously, through a smartphone app (via Bluetooth or USB), or through PC software (via USB).

In all operation modes, Radiacode:

- Measures current dose rate levels of gamma and X-ray radiation and can display the data in numerical values, or as a graph;
- Calculates and displays the cumulative dose of the gamma and X-ray radiation;
- Calculates and displays the cumulative radiation energy spectrum;
- Signals when dose rate or cumulative radiation dose exceeds thresholds set by a user;
- Continuously stores the above data in non-volatile memory;
- While under the app control, it continuously streams the data to the control gadget for real-time indication and storing it in database.

The app allows:

- Setting Radiacode parameters;
- Displaying all types of measurement results;
- Storing the measurement results in the database with time stamps and location tags;
- Tracking the route data points on Google Maps and displaying them with the dose rate color tags.

In demo mode, the app works with a virtual device. This gives you the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the app before you purchase the device.

Radiacode indicators:

- LCD
- LEDs
- alarm sound
- vibration

Controls: 3 buttons.
Power supply: built-in 1000 mAh Li-pol battery.
Run time: > 10 days.

The best device and app in the market. The app has a high learning threshold so you need to take time to learn. For example, you can not continue a recording but you can merge two separate ones.

1.66.(00,01,02) screen rotate - hangs, problems with element sizes, icons, statuses. -not possible to load and continue selected spectrum(to have separation on multiple locations /or projects/ each own data). -no sync of location if RC powered off BT(battery consumption lowering). bugs and feature requests are ignored by devels. no bugtracker.

This app is amazing! The functionality it has is simply comparable if not even better than a lab grade scintillation detector when paired with a Radiacode detector. It has a search function for rock hunters, spectrogram for people on the go, it can record the activity on a map, it has a built in isotope library and a special tab for detecting radiation in food. Note that you need an external device that you can buy from their website. This app will not work without it.
