CERD (Community Emergency Response & Disaster Support) is an offline-first emergency response platform designed to connect people in need with nearby verified volunteers during disasters and emergencies. Traditional emergency services can be delayed due to network outages, heavy demand, or inaccessible locations. CERD addresses this challenge by enabling fast, community-driven assistance with real-time coordination.
The platform allows users to send SOS alerts, share their live location, communicate through in-app chat, and receive help from volunteers in the surrounding area. Volunteers can view emergency requests on an interactive map, accept rescue tasks, navigate to the victim, and provide status updates throughout the response process.
Built with reliability in mind, CERD supports offline data storage and synchronization, ensuring that critical information is preserved even when internet connectivity is limited. Once a connection is restored, pending requests and updates are automatically synchronized with the server.
Key features include:
SOS emergency alerts
Real-time location tracking and interactive maps
