You can use Xdrip+ app with BluCon device and have real CGM and low/high BG alerts people, I am still waiting on my BlueCon to arrive though placed order on 6 th Oct now is 18 th I hope it gets here fast
I'd buy a Blucon if only the app had alarms for low sugar for when you sleeping, otherwise it's sort of pointless if your phone already has nfc, the biggest selling point of the Blucon would be if you could set an alarm for low sugar, WHY NOT HAVE THIS FEATURE????????? It makes NO sense not to have an alarm as the base feature of this app! It couldn't be guaranteed to work 100% of the time but at least it's better than no alarm at all, hell you could even have IFTTT integration too!
Won't connect to my Sony Xperia 5. Wasted my money getting nightrider. I spent €150 on this with delivery and tax. Disgusted!!!
DO NOT BUY! EXTREME UNRELIABLE GARBAGE APP! Unlike other paired Bluetooth devices you must poke a thin object through an excessively narrow hole (think blunted insulin needle) to initiate pairing everytime it needs to re-connect. This would be doable on a table, but it insists that it must be done over the sensor on the back of your arm. Since it relies on you or some elastic to hold it in place, both of which may block the hole, you only have one hand available, and seeing the hole from the angle it's at on the back of your arm is also a problem, well you can understand how stupid Ambrosia (that doesn't respond to criticism) expects us to all be contortionists! Then the ****ing piece of **** still fails to connect. Also, if your screen orientation changes, or ANYTHING else happens the app forgets that it was connecting! This is unusable garbage. There are demos of code that work better than this. Speaking of which, the app does nothing. Nothing. It doesn't graph right, it doesn't connect right, and it doesn't have any of the features they have promised. The buttons actually say "coming soon". It's sloppy app design. Now let's talk about the lousy manufacturing tolerances. For one, the battery cover was rammed on crooked when it arrived. Opening it I found that the rubber seal was stretched over half the opening and not at all where it should have been. Is there anyway connected? Experience says probably only halfway. How can this be paired to my phone but, as the app emplors, need to be reset to connect? How can it take five minutes to connect (though I've never seen it connect if it takes more than 2 seconds)? Why isn't there a negative 5 rating? If the app wasn't a collosal piece of **** it would be great, but who has an HOUR+ to waste on making a BT connection??? Is it just me, but do the only 5 star (no text) ratings seem like they come from the devs?
Did not work with Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) - can not pair with blucon.
