About this app

LeafNote is a clean, lightweight notes app for Android.
Capture your thoughts the moment they happen — no account, no internet, no clutter.

Open the app, tap +, and you're already writing. Notes save themselves as you type.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Quick capture — title and body auto-save after you stop typing
• Pin important notes to the top of the list
• Mark favorites with a star
• Tag notes and browse by tag (case-insensitive, suggestions reuse existing tags)
• Search across titles, content, and tags with instant, debounced results and highlighted matches
• Long-press to enter selection mode and pin, archive, or trash several notes at once
• Move notes to Trash and undo from a snackbar, or restore them anytime
• Permanently delete with a clear confirmation prompt — no accidental data loss
• Empty the entire trash from one place

SETTINGS YOU CONTROL
• Theme — Light, Dark, or follow the system
• Default sort — Last edited, Created date, or Title
• Font size — Small, Medium, or Large for the editor body
• Language — System, English, or 中文 (more locales easy to add)
• Export notes as JSON (full structure preserved) or plain text via the system file picker
• Import notes back later — duplicates are merged intelligently, and notes that match a trashed copy are restored

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
LeafNote never asks for permissions. It does not access your contacts, photos, location, or the network. Your notes live only on your device, in a local SQLite database. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is shared, nothing is sold.

LeafNote is free, ad-free, and tracker-free. We don't want your data. We just want you to write.
