Sound Meter: dB & Spectrum is a simple but powerful sound level meter, decibel meter and frequency analyzer for Android.

Measure sound levels in real time, view a live dB history graph, analyze frequencies with a spectrum display, save measurements offline and export your results as CSV or image.

Whether you want to check room noise, monitor background sound, compare devices, inspect loud environments or analyze frequency ranges, this app gives you a clear overview of sound and noise around you.

Adjust the dB offset to better match a reference sound level meter.

• Audio source selection
Choose between automatic mode, raw signal if available, standard microphone and compatibility mode.

• Clipping warning
The app can warn you when the microphone signal is overloaded and the measurement may be inaccurate.

• Noise floor measurement
Measure the background noise floor of your environment.

• Warning threshold
Set a custom sound level warning threshold, for example 85 dB.

• Local and private
No audio recordings are saved. The app stores only calculated measurement values. Your measurement history stays on your device.

Important note:
Smartphone microphones are different on every device and are not a replacement for a professional calibrated sound level meter. For more accurate dB SPL values, calibrate the app with a reference meter. Very loud sounds may exceed the limits of the phone microphone and can lead to inaccurate results.
