Early feedback I am evaluating this application for use as a mobile field recorder. The first impression is very good. The silence feature works well in quiet conditions. Not as well when commencing with road noise, but the pause button works fine. I might like to see the pause button a bit larger and moved away from the standard Android buttons to avoid accidental home screen visits when recording. I do also like the ability to force the screen to stay on when the recorder is is foreground.
Very useful! Stable, works as expected, and with a very clean, easy to understand UI that meets my own standards for UIX (I'm a developer). This app is direct to its point, and little else. One question: Recording with skipping seems to consistently stop after approx 300 MB of storage is consumed. Possible bug, but also possible user error? Suggestions: The controls at the bottom of the main screen are small and easy to misclick: please enlarge if possible. Summary: nice design, stability, and usability. 5 stars!
Simple, red button operation for voice I take notes. And this app is really as good as it gets. No need to snip off .. easy to pause with the red button. I just wish i can get a higher quality recording like 96khz 24-bit !
I have PTSD and this app only records when I thrash around, talk, or snore. Thank you to the development and thought of this app. It will only start when it detects noise. I have a constant ring in both ears and can only sleep with white noise. The app does not pick up all of the white noise and will only start when I thrash around in bed, talk in my sleep or snore. Great app.
Decent But Sound on recordings too soft/often inaudible It does exactly what it has set out to do and does it well. What i like about it is the ability to easily title every recording so you can easily go through later and find the recording for whatever topic you want to listen to. I have only used the silence feature a few times. My big complaint is this: Sound Volume when playing back a recording is too low. Often on max volume I can still BARELY hear the professor speaking or the person's voice, etc. I recorded. It is very frustrating!
Can't believe I paid for this crAPP! Lowest sound quality recording app I have used yet. I was in a town-hall meeting for 30 minutes and this app only recorded 3 minutes and 39 seconds of the entire meeting. I had "skip silence" selected. That was not the first time either.
It's a performance and stability update in anticipation of the next big release. Yes, we're working on it. Stay tuned.
For those who love details, here's what have been fixed:
– Skip silence should work on virtually any Android device;
– Notification will not be stuck in the status bar anymore;
– Performance optimizations: we use less memory, you've got more battery life;
– Updated fancy application icon;
– Other fixes to keep up with Android.
