Alpenglow now runs on its own continuously evolving forecast model, designed specifically to predict sunrise and sunset light quality.

Forecasts are updated multiple times a day using global weather data, and improve over time with real-world input.

Help improve the forecasts
After a sunrise or sunset, you can submit a quick field report.

These reports directly help improve future predictions for everyone.

Like any weather forecast, conditions can change, especially further out, so forecasts are updated frequently to stay as accurate as possible.

Edit: back to 4 stars because 5 day forecast is back! ==== Very disappointed that the forecast has been reduced from 5 days to 2 unless you pay a hefty subscription. Very sad. If the price was a big less I would have considered but other weather apps are priced more reasonably and have more features.

If you set the location manually, it won't keep the location. The app incentivises you to constantly share your location instead. Also why do you need a subscription to check the sunrise?

seems to be a really good accurate app! love how it shows the sunrise and sunset areas on the map.
