A rectangle is only the beginning. In Area Sort: Number Puzzle, every area you solve releases colored balls onto a moving conveyor. Work out the shape, choose your moment, and fill the matching trays.
This color sort puzzle combines number clues with ball sorting. The numbered grid tells you how many cells to select. The trays below help you decide which color to release next.
Learn the area rule
Draw a rectangle around a number. Include exactly one number and match the cell count to its value. A 6 needs six cells, such as a rectangle two cells wide and three cells tall. Keep your selection clear of blocked cells and other numbered clues.
Turn areas into colors
A solved area releases one ball for each cell, all in the clue's color. Three red cells become three red balls. The conveyor carries them toward the trays, where three balls of the same color complete a tray.
Choose the order
Finding a rectangle is one part of the puzzle. Deciding when to release it is the next. Look at the available tray colors before making your move. A full belt can keep moving if matching trays are available, but a line with nowhere to send its balls can get stuck.

Different grid layouts, blocked cells and mystery trays give you more to consider. Connect the number clues above with the colors waiting below. Clear the numbered areas and finish every tray to complete the level.
Area Sort brings a spatial challenge to the ball sort formula. If you enjoy logic puzzles, the grid gives you shapes to work out. If you enjoy sorting games, the conveyor adds a sequence to plan. Each successful move connects the two.
