About this app

AChat is a no-signup anonymous chat. Pick a chat ID, share the link, and talk.
Chats, messages, and uploaded files auto-delete after 10 days by default.

Set a password and AChat encrypts your messages in the browser (PBKDF2 +
AES-GCM); the key never leaves your device, so a lost password means a lost
chat. Open chats without a password are not encrypted — anyone with the ID can
read them.

Share files up to 10 MB each (100 MB per chat), reply in threads, react, and run
quick polls. Public communities are open group chats anyone can join — they are
public and listed in a directory, with best-effort, client-side moderation only.

Search across the chats you've opened — entirely on your device. Delete messages
to a per-chat Trash, or, when signed in, privately archive a chat so only you can
reopen it.

Sign in with Google only if you want to keep a chat past the 10-day auto-delete;
we then store your account name, email, and photo, and never link them to who
wrote which message. Delete your account and its data anytime at Account →
