Hold Fire is an offline tower defense game where you do more than watch your turrets work: you place them between waves, then you man the cannon yourself during the assault.
Hold your finger on the screen: the cannon aims, fires and heats up. Let go to cool it down. One hundred waves, ten sectors, ten bosses, all the way to the Leviathan.
▸ A tower defense where you pull the trigger
Two lanes to defend, build slots for your turrets, and a cannon only you control. Turrets hold the line; you cover what they let through: the jammer they ignore, the runner that outruns them, the flyer no mortar will ever catch.
▸ Aim for the cores
White weak points take triple damage. One placed shot beats a long burst, and the cannon overheats if you never let go.
▸ Five turrets, three levels each
Gatling, mortar and flak from wave 1; the tesla arrives at wave 41, the missile launcher at wave 71. Each covers what the others let through.
▸ A workshop for your cannon
Seven upgrades: caliber, rate of fire, cooling, optics, piercing, volley and a second cannon. Four of them end with a special ability.
▸ 100 waves, 10 sectors, 10 bosses
A different layout in every sector and, from the sixth onward, a field rule on top: jamming, locked build slots, power outages. Twenty-two enemies in all, with a boss every ten waves.
▸ A pact after every boss
Three deals on offer, only one signed, binding until the end of the run. More damage for less range, more gold for fewer hit points: every pact has its price.
▸ Roguelite: every run counts
The waves you reach earn fragments, and fragments buy seventeen permanent modules: starting gold, base plating, cheaper turrets, blueprints that unlock the tesla and the missile launcher from wave 1. The next run starts stronger.
▸ Offline, no account
This turret defense game plays with no wifi and no internet, on a plane or underground. No sign-up, no lives to refill. Your progress is saved on your device.
▸ Ads: what to expect
No in-app purchases: everything is unlocked by playing, and the game is funded by ads. When you are online, an ad may play every three waves during the build phase (the game is paused, never mid-assault), and another now and then between runs. After a run you can choose to watch a video to double your fragments or to resume from the wave you fell on; a resumed run does not count toward your record. No ad ever makes your cannon stronger.
Available in English, French, Spanish, Japanese and Korean.
