PathoChat is a complete mobile solution for pathology laboratories to manage patients, test orders, reports, and daily lab operations. It is designed for lab technicians, pathologists, and administrators who want a modern, digital workflow instead of manual registers and scattered files.
With PathoChat, labs can register and manage patient profiles, including contact details and basic medical information. You can quickly search patients by name, mobile number, or order ID, and link multiple family members to a single account for easier management. Each patient’s order history is available in one place, making it simple to track past tests and reports.
The app streamlines order creation and tracking. Lab staff can create new test orders, attach multiple test items, and follow each order from “Created” to “Sample Collected”, “Partially Completed”, “Cancelled”, or “Completed”. Powerful filters help you focus on the orders that matter most: Created, Partially Completed, Sample Collected, Cancelled, or Completed.
PathoChat provides an efficient interface for entering test results. For each test parameter, you can input values and automatically compare them against reference ranges, reducing errors and improving consistency. Once all test results for an order are completed, the app can generate a professional PDF report that can be viewed directly inside the app and shared externally if needed.
The lab profile section allows you to manage your laboratory’s information, contact details, and legal documents. Important policy pages such as Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Medical Disclaimer, Data Deletion Policy, and Delete Account are accessible from within the app via a built-in WebView. The wallet and payment section lets you view your lab’s credit balance and transaction details, with support for integrations like PhonePe for wallet top-ups (where configured).
Security is a core part of PathoChat. The app uses secure login with email or mobile and password, token-based authentication for API calls, and safe local storage for session data. Role-based access ensures that each type of user (lab, admin, patient) can only access the features meant for them. All traffic is sent over HTTPS to protect sensitive medical and personal data.
PathoChat is built with modern Android technologies: Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, MVVM architecture, and Clean Architecture principles. This results in smooth performance, a responsive interface, and a design that feels current and easy to use. The UI follows Material Design 3 guidelines, with clear typography, intuitive navigation, and layouts optimized for phones and tablets.
The app is suitable for independent diagnostic centers, small and medium pathology labs, and lab chains that want a light, mobile-first solution. It requires Android 7.0 (API 24) or higher and an active internet connection for synchronizing data with the server. Optional camera or gallery access is used for uploading pathologist signatures to be printed on reports.
