What is this App all about???
Ubragga is a free to play sports trivia app like no other. Play against our AI, play against a mate or play in a tournament (coming soon), or do all 3. The choice is yours. There are no boring old True/False questions. It’s all multiple choice.
Unless playing in a tournament you are playing for the ultimate invisible crown of glory. Yes, that’s right. You are playing for bragging rights. Get in the face of your mates, or sit in the background smirking to yourself. The choice is yours. Hop over to our website and look for our “Guide to Bragging” for some ideas.
Signing up
The sign-up process is pretty simple. We ask for basic information (so the App can send you notifications). You can load up your own image, or choose one of our avatars. You then select the team you support, and may select up to 3 of your favourite teams. These can be changed at any time.
How to play and scoring
Each game you play is broken down into 4 quarters. Each quarter has 4 questions. Each question you answer correctly you get a goal and some Ubux which is our in-game currency. If you answer incorrectly you will get either 1 behind, or nothing and you don’t get any Ubux. At the end of the game, the winner will get 4 points, and the loser gets 0 points. If the game is drawn, both players get 2 points. The respective scores for and against will be retained and used in the ladder to rank players with the same points.
The player starting the game shall select a Category. Each question for that Category shall be answered by the player starting the game within 15 seconds or he shall be deemed to have answered the question incorrectly. At the end of the quarter, the opposing player shall answer the same questions. At the end of that quarter, the opposing player chooses the next Category and answers the questions. The player starting the game shall then answer the same questions. This process continues until the end of the 4 quarters. The scoreboard is shown at all times. Plus, a pop-up shows if you won/lost, or drew the quarter.
There is a little bit of strategy that goes along with this game. Sure, you win 4 points when you win a game, and you move up and down the ladder based on how many games you win, but you can make sure you win more games by using our in-game helpers.
They cost you Ubux, our in-game currency. You get Ubux each time you answer a question correctly, but if you need more, you can buy a package of more Ubux. You need to work out when to use them. Should you go hard at the start and beat your mates showing no mercy, or do you toy with them and lull them into a false sense of security, then you smash them? You also receive a bonus Ubux every day you log in to play.
You also get Ubux and bonus points for inviting mates into your league, which is a good idea as it's not much fun to play by yourself. These bonus points also push you up the ladder. If another player bumps you down the ladder a bit, whether by inviting more friends to play or by playing and winning more games, you can do the same and get back that higher ladder position. Here is a hint. Invite someone you can easily beat. You will win more games AND get the bonus points. There are no limits on the number of people you can invite.
You need to decide if you will demoralize your opposition by winning lots of games, or guzumping* them by inviting more friends to bump you toward the top of the ladder, or by doing both. How will your mate react when they overtake you on the ladder to only be put back in their place the very next day? Ha, take that!!
There are various screens available to report on your progress. Check the Ladder out for the entire country, how you are going compared to other players supporting the same team, as well as your own league, consisting of all players you have played against.
