About this app

Printwise helps you print photos, PDFs and notes, scan paper with your phone camera, and turn one image into a multi-sheet poster.

All features in this Android version are free. No subscription, in-app purchase or account is required.

EVERYDAY PRINTING
• Photo layouts for 4×6, 5×7, wallet prints and grids
• PDFs and images, page selection, copies and two-sided printing on compatible printers
• Multi-page camera scans in color, grayscale or black and white
• Copy a document by scanning it with your phone and printing it
• Type or paste a note, preview its pages and print
• Local history for reprinting and sharing recent jobs

POSTER STUDIO
Choose your photo or the permanent vector sample. Set a target width from 10 to 150 cm, choose A4 or Letter sheets, portrait or landscape orientation, and 5 or 10 mm overlap. Inspect the assembly map and individual sheets.

Export a PDF with an overview, up to 36 numbered poster tiles and trim marks. No printer is needed to create or export a poster. Low-resolution warnings help you choose a suitable photo size. Printer margins and scaling can change the finished dimensions; use single-sided printing at 100% or Actual Size where supported, and check a sheet first.

PRINTER COMPATIBILITY
Printwise opens Android’s system print dialog. Your phone needs an enabled print service compatible with your printer, such as its default service or a manufacturer’s plugin. Network printers must be reachable from your phone. Try the test page to check your setup. Paper sizes, borderless printing and duplex depend on the printer and print service.

PHONE CAMERA SCANNING
The document scanner uses Google Play services and may need to download components before first use. It is unavailable on some devices; photo import is offered as an alternative. Printwise does not operate your printer’s scanner bed, read ink levels, set up printer Wi-Fi or update firmware.

PREPARED ON YOUR DEVICE
Poster and document preparation happens locally and can work offline with files already on your phone. Printing, cloud-only photos and initial scanner downloads can require connectivity. Content goes to the printer or share destination you choose. Google’s scanner components may send diagnostics and usage metrics; local document processing does not mean every SDK is network-free.

Choose from 12 interface languages, including Arabic with right-to-left layout, in onboarding or Settings.

Protected or very large PDFs may use the system print dialog without an editable in-app preview. A completed print request does not guarantee physical paper delivery.
