About this game

Lonehue is a queens puzzle - the Queens and Star Battle family.

The board is split into colour regions. Place one mark in every row, one in every column and one in every colour region, and never let two marks touch, not even at a corner. That is all of it.

Every board is generated and then proved by our own solver to have exactly one solution, so there is never a guess to make and never a second answer to argue with. Because the answer is unique there is nothing to economise on, so what the game grades is the clock and the mistakes you made getting there.

• DAILY - the same board for everyone, once a day. Beat the clock, keep your streak, share your result without spoiling it.
• LEVELS - 100 boards, from six by six up to a ten by ten that takes real elimination.
• ENDLESS - a random board in the size you pick. Its code sits on the board: send it to a friend and you both play the identical grid.
