📄 WA Chat Viewer – View Exported WhatsApp Chats Offline

WA Chat Viewer is an offline utility app that lets you view exported WhatsApp chat files (.txt) in a clean, WhatsApp-style layout.

This app works only with chats exported from WhatsApp.

View exported WhatsApp .txt chat files

Display chats in a familiar WhatsApp-style format

Import and view images, audio, and video files

Manage multiple chat files

Search messages and jump to specific dates

View chat statistics (participants, message count)

Switch language - Now you can switch to any supported language(Note: If you switch language, then the Whatsapp chat file exported from that language will only work, others may not work properly)

Works completely offline


❌ What this app does NOT do

❌ Cannot access live WhatsApp chats

❌ Cannot open msgstore.db, .crypt, or WhatsApp backup files

❌ Cannot read chats directly from WhatsApp

❌ Cannot open ZIP files without extracting them first

❌ Cannot restore deleted messages

Open WhatsApp

Export a chat as Text (.txt)

Open WA Chat Viewer and import the exported file

Import media separately to view images, audio, and videos

🌍 Language & formatting notes

Supports multiple languages (including Tamil, English, French, German and Indonesian)

Chat formatting depends on the date format and language of the exported file

Media must be re-imported for older chats after updates

I found That your app is good. I am using it to decrypt the file. But When I read your reply it not for crypt file. You can make aware more users by Giving more information about the app usage, data sharing, app location and other information. It will definitely help your app to be successful in future. All the best.

In Android 15, it won't import any media (it says "storage permission required to import images") despite having been granted permission to access Photos and Videos, as well as Music and Audio. On an old Android 9 phone it works fine, as there is just one switch in App Permissions for "Storage", which does not exist in Android 15. Could you please update your app to work on current devices? That would make it worthy of five stars.

pixel 5 android 12. the conversation is a one sided. All the messages listed on the left side. It asks for permission to import media, but then does not import the media at all. Great idea, badly executed
