About this app

AromaTraining helps you work on your sense of smell — at home, offline, at your own pace.

It is built on olfactory training (the Hummel protocol): each day you work with 6 scents through 4 mindful steps — look, inhale, remember, integrate. Vivid photos, a breathing rhythm and memory cues keep the olfactory networks engaged even when the nose stays "silent". Smell training is widely used for smell loss and distortion after COVID-19 and other infections, after head injury, and with age-related decline.

For parosmia — when familiar things smell wrong — there is a separate differentiation mode. It trains you to tell the real smell apart from the intrusive phantom one, with a difference scale and a recommended order that starts with easy contrasts instead of your worst food trigger.

• Standard mode and a dedicated parosmia mode
• Every scent shows its olfactory group and what you can swap it for at home — grapefruit for lemon, clove for cinnamon — so you can train with what you actually have
• Sensation diary with PDF export to bring to your ENT
• Smell self-check every two weeks and weekly recovery stats
• Your own scents: add a photo and a personal memory
• Breathing rhythm with sound and vibration, gentle reminders
• Backup: move everything to a new phone in one file
• Fully offline — no account, no ads, no data collection of any kind
• 7 languages: EN · RU · DE · ES · FR · PT-BR · IT

Free, and the training itself stays free.

Note: AromaTraining is a supportive rehabilitation tool, not a medical device and not a substitute for professional care. If you have a smell disorder, see an ENT specialist.
