Psalmo's Bible-first focus feature uses Android's AccessibilityService API. When you opt in and pick apps for your personal blocklist, Psalmo detects when one of those apps is opened and overlays today's Bible verse on top of it — inviting a moment with Scripture before you continue.

The AccessibilityService is used ONLY to:
• Detect which app is currently opening on screen
• Show a Scripture overlay when a blocked app is opened

The AccessibilityService does NOT:
• Read, collect, or transmit any personal data
• Access passwords, messages, emails, or screen content
• Record audio, keystrokes, or user interactions
• Modify system settings or other apps

You're in control. The focus feature is opt-in. You can enable or disable accessibility access at any time in Android Settings → Accessibility → Psalmo. A clear consent dialog with Continue and Decline options is shown before requesting this permission.
