CREATE LIFE ON MARS

Lead a corporation and launch ambitious Mars terraforming projects. Direct massive construction works, manage and use your resources, create cities, forests and oceans, and set rewards and objectives to win the game!

In Terraforming Mars, place your cards on the board and use them wisely:
- Achieve a high Terraform Rating, by increasing the temperature and oxygen level or creating oceans... Make the planet habitable for future generations!
- Get Victory Points by building cities, infrastructure and other ambitious projects.
- But watch out! Rival corporations will try to slow you down... That's a nice forest you planted there... It'd be a shame if an asteroid crashed right on it.

Ratings and reviews

Fantastic to be able to play the tabletop anywhere I want without all the setup, especially for solo mode. Bots are smart enough to be good practice too. I have not yet seen any rule bugs. While done well overall, I do run into occasional UI bugs that require a bit of fanagling to overcome. The UI can also feel a bit clunky at times, though I think it's partially to reduce coding complexity and partially the difficulty of a small screen. Even with those details, it's stable and worth a 5 star.

EDIT 5.12.23 I played this version of the game a ton until the expansions started coming out. Since then, random bugs have been hit or miss, but the real downer is turn notifications do not work on Android. I tried to play through it, but it's really annoying. Since the new maps came out (May '22), there's been no notifications and no update when this will get fixed. Tech team says they are aware of it. I'm lowering my rating for to how long this is taking to fix.

Super buggy. The game itself is my favorite board game (9/10), but the app's implementation needs some serious work. Sometimes the game will be in a state that it will not allow you to continue further as it's stuck in limbo as if it doesn't know whose turn it is. Another annoying thing is needing to re-log in frequently in order to play online multiplayer. It logs you out automatically a lot and sometimes takes a while to put you back online. Great game. Disappointing app.
