Asset Assistant builds your fixed asset register from your phone.


Photograph a vehicle, tractor, machine, tool, computer or piece of office equipment. The AI reads the make, model and serial number from the photos, pulls the vendor, date and amount from the invoice, and gives you a market value estimate. You check what it found, and save. Every asset keeps its photos, its GPS position, its site and its purchase details together.


BUILT FOR SOUTH AFRICAN BUSINESS
Depreciation defaults follow the SARS wear-and-tear schedule by category. VAT is handled the SARS way, including keeping passenger vehicles at gross cost where the VAT cannot be claimed. Asset numbers are issued once, in sequence, and never reused.


SEND IT TO XERO
Connect your own Xero organisation and new assets go across as draft fixed assets, carrying number, name, serial, cost, purchase date, asset type and depreciation settings, ready for your bookkeeper to register. The app reads your Xero list back, so each asset shows whether it is a draft, registered or disposed. Once Xero registers an asset, Xero's record is the record and the app locks the matching fields, so the two never drift apart.

Do not use Xero? Every plan, including the free one, exports a PDF report, a CSV, and an import file for other accounting systems.


A TEAM IN THE FIELD
On a Team plan, field workers install the same app free and join by scanning a QR code. They can only capture: they never see your register, your values or your exports. Their captures arrive encrypted on the owner's phone for review, and only the owner registers an asset and gives it its number.


YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR PHONE
The register lives on your own device, not on our servers. There are no accounts. We cannot see your assets, photos or values, which is why the app has encrypted backup and restore built in. AI features send the photo to be processed and return the result; the photo is not kept.
